ASMINC Profile:

The Association for Developing Small and Medium Scale Industries in the New Cities, with headquarters in the Tenth of Ramadan City, is an Egyptian non-governmental organization registered at the Ministry of Social Affairs under no. 958 for the year 1996, dated 14/10/1996 under law 32 for the year 1964.

ASMINC Objectives:

To increase the contribution of small scale industries to the socio-economic development of the new cities. This is to be achieved through the following: Creating job opportunities by assisting in the start-up of new projects. Extending assistance to small and medium scale projects existing in the new cities. Providing better work conditions and livelihoods in the new cities.

ASMINC Services and Activities:

Services extended by the Association aim at achieving the interest of the group of individuals who are its members by fulfilling their needs, solving their production-related and technical problems, in addition to organizing social and culturally informative programs, whether for the members or the staff working in the projects of member employers. First:Scientific and Technical Services: Supporting the owners of small and medium scale industries through scientific services. Holding seminars and conferences in the field of science and technology. Issuing bulletins, scientific and cultural handbooks that are to be sent to the Associations members. Holding training courses in all fields aiming at upgrading the competence of employers, employees and workers (vocational and administrative training). Facilitating access to consultation by distinguished experts in all fields. Exchanging scientific and technical expertise with local and international organizations. Second : Social, Cultural and Information - Media Services: The Association aims at enhancing social links between the members, the community of small Scale industries in the new cities and the factory workers. It further aims at solving their social problems, revising the regulating laws and strengthening the ties within the project by: Establishing a social and cultural club affiliated to the Association. Providing a number of services at cost price for external/migrating workers. Holding cultural and social seminars. Undertaking social studies concerning a number of apparent problems. Organising meetings with other local and external associations. Drawing up a media program to create awareness of small and medium scale industries. Third: Marketing Services: Organising local exhibitions within the framework of an internal marketing program. Taking part in local and external exhibitions. Issuing a manual on small and medium scale industries. Providing information on markets. Providing communication means and office equipment. · Providing information means and services (internet - library - periodicals).
