The Egyptian International Pharmaceutical Ind.Co. :
The Egyptian International Pharmaceutical Industries Co.”EIPICO” was estsablished in 1982 as a private company according to investment Law by
a consortium consisting of local Public Sector companies and ACDIMA (Arab Co. for Drug Industries and Medical Appliances).
The Company was located in the Tenth of Ramadan City- Industrial Zone (35 KM from Cairo Airport).
From the beginning, the company was planned to formulate dosage forms of generic drugs from local and imported intermediates, applying the latest GMP regulations throughout the operational or line departments beginning with evaluation of raw materials, calibration of equipment’s and control, holding and distribution of finished products to assure quality, effectiveness and safety.
EIPICO managed to build up a place among multinationals and private companies until it became the largest pharmaceutical company in Egypt commanding an 8% of local market share and nearly 25% contribution of Egyptian Exports of drugs.
EIPICO production covered all dosage forms, the traditional such as tablets, capsules, emulsions and vials .etc. as well as non- traditional forms such as the soft gelatin capsules , lyophilized products , gels, sprayers and effervescent tablets.
