The story began in 1974 when 2 intimate friends, Engineer A.H. A.M. EL-Sayed (Chairman) & Engineer Samy F. Gabriel ( Managing Director) made the decision to start a private Business , namely expanded metal production . The start was 1machine in a rented workshop in some place east Cairo under the name Matel -X For Engineering Works.
In 1981 Eng. El-Sayed & Eng. Samy thought of diversifying their field of business to include the manufacturing of meatal furniture . The start was with 5 part timers & one machine , one an area of 100 squared meters. Now MOHM's modern Office & houes Metal Furniture , one of the pioneer metal furniture producers in Egypt with an approximate local market share of 30%. Mohm is ISO 9001 certified.
By continuous development & vast expansion, Metal -X became one among 10most popular building products producers worldwide. Our exports increased to the extent that we had assign a whole firm for the exports of building products ,and this led to the foundation of METAL EXPORT CAIRO in 1990.
